kishore kumar the king of Music 70s-80s

kishore kumar the king of Hindi Songs 70s-80s

Born as Abhas Kumar Ganguly on 4th August, 1929, this great singer known as Kishore Kumar, affectionately called Kishore Da, was one of those very few singers who took risks and experimented with different styles of music. Considered to be a legend in Hindi film world, this multi talented persona has excelled as a playback singer, actor, composer, lyrics writer, director, producer and script writer. The songs of Kishore Kumar have an extraordinary blend of romance, emotions, naughtiness and melancholy.

Kishore Kumar was born in a small place known as Khandwa located in the state of Madhya Pradesh. He was born in a typical Bengali family and was the youngest among his siblings. He had two elder brothers (Ashok Kumar and Anoop Kumar) and a sister (Sati Devi). His father Kunjilal Ganguly was a lawyer by profession and his mother Gauri Devi was from a well-to-do family. When his eldest brother Ashok Kumar became an actor, Kishore Kumar was still quite young. Later on, his second brother also ventured into movies to become an actor.

Kishore Kumar also started to show interest in music and often mimicked the great K.L. Saigal. Though he did not have any formal training in music, he decided to pursue it and followed his brothers to Mumbai. It was his dream to become a famous playback singer and be counted among legends. He would often go to the studios and ask producers if he could sing on the movie's soundtrack. Initially he could not develop a style of his own but nevertheless he perfectly imitated K.L. Saigal. Once, the great S.D Burman had come to Ashok Kumar's house to meet up when he heard Kishore singing.

He actually thought it was K.L. Saigal singing and inquired if he was there too! When he came to know that it was Kishore singing, he truly appreciated and encouraged the young lad to continue refining his voice but at the same time, develop a style of his own.

The ability to transform his voice according to not just the scene but also the actor is something that was truly incredible of Kishore. He has sung soulful songs for Dev Anand and also fun filled songs for Rajesh Khanna.

After Rajesh Khanna went out of the scene, Kishore Kumar belted out chart topping hits for superstar Amitabh Bachchan. When R.D. Burman stormed the music world, Kishore Kumar re-surfaced with hits like Roop Tera Mastana and many other melodious songs. Some films that deserve a special mention are Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin, Kinara, Dream Girl, Anurodh, Sharabi, Mr. Natwarlal, Gol Maal, Dostana, Manzil, Padosan, Shalimar, Khatta Meetha, Kasme Vaade, Ghar, Don, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, Dilli Ka Thug.

In the late 1940s Kishore Kumar collaborated with the leading actor Dev Anand by serving as his playback singer—the voice for his songs. For the next two decades Kumar sang primarily for Anand, and the partnership between the versatile crooner and the romantic film star created a musical gold mine in films such as Munimji (1955), Funtoosh (1956), Nau do gyarah (1957), and Jewel Thief (1967). A new high point in Kumar’s career came in 1969: the film Aradhana catapulted Rajesh Khanna to superstardom, and Kumar, who had lent his voice to Khanna, became the leading playback singer of the Hindi film industry. Kumar retained that position until he died.

He won Filmfare awards for popular songs. Some of them are:

“Roop Tera Mastana” from movie Aradhana, 1970
“Dil Aisa Kisi Ne Mera” from movie Amanush, 1976
“Khaike Paan Banaras Wala” from movie Don, 1979

“Agar Tum Na Hote” from movie Agar Tum Na Hote,1984
“Manzilein Apni Jagah Hain” from movie Sharaabi, 1985

Best Male Playback Singer for Hare Rama Hare Krishna, 1973

Starred in the shelved film "Pyar Zindagi Hain"(1980). Starring Kishore Kumar, Leena Chandavarkar. It was going to be produced by Kishore Kumar.
He sang 245 songs for Rajesh Khanna, 202 for Jeetendra, 131 for Amitabh and 113 for Devanand.

His marriages to some of the most popular and attractive Bollywood actresses (Madhubala, Yogeeta Bali,Leena Chandavarkar) not only raised eyebrows, but added to his popularity.Fact was each of these women with exception of Yogita Bali fell in love with Kishore Kumar. Madhubala loved him immensely but had health issues so died. Then in 1976 Yogita claimed to love him and married Kishore, but then Kishore realized she had married him for his money so divorced her. Leena was a widower but Kishore fell in love with her and proposed her and they were happily married till his death.

Kishor Kumar All Song List:

Aa Ha Haa Naino Ke
Aa Ja Meri Jaan
Aa Ja Re Aa Ja
Aa Mohabbat Ki Basti Basaye
Aage Se Dekho Peechhe Se
Aaj Mujhe Kuchh Kehna Hai
Aaj Rona Pada To Samjhe
Aake Seedhi Lage Dil Pe Jaise
Aap Sa Koi Haseen
Aayi Aayi Main To Aayi
Abhi Gyarah Nahin Baje
Abhi To Hum Huye Jawan
Achha Chalo Ji Baba Maaf Kar
Ae Mere Dil
Ae Meri Topi Palat Ke Aa
Agar Leta Hoon Tera Naam
Agar Sun Le To Ek Naghma
Aise Nacho Aise Gao
Amma Re Amma Ye To Diwan
Ankh Mili Nazren Milane Ke Li
Apni To Jaise Taise
Are Sun Bhai Sadho
Baat Thi Yaar Ek Bair Ki
Bachna Ae Hasinon Lo Main A
Bachna Raja Ji
Bada Badmaash Hai Yeh Dil
Bada Shaitan Hai Dil
Badal Kab Barsoge
Badhti Ka Naam Dadhi
Badi Door Se Aaye
Bam Chike Chike Cham Chike
Band Ankh Se Dekh Tamasha
Barah Baje Ki Suiyon Jaise
Bharat Ka Bhai Lakshman
Bin Phere Hum Tere
Bol Baby Bol Rock-N-Roll
Bujha Do Deepak
Chahe Raho Door Chahe Raho
Chal Shuru Ho Ja
Chala Chal Lifafe
Chamka Pasina Ban Ke Nagina
Chand Roz Aur Meri Jaan
Chhatri Na Khol Ud Jayegi
Chhodo Yeh Nigahon Ka Ishar
Chidiya Choon Choon
Chil Chil Chilla Ke
Daddy Se Tujhko Milaoongi
Dakiya Daak Laya
Daroo Ki Botal

Jo Tum Hansoge To
Kaaran Na Jane Koi
Kabhi Khole Na Tijori Ka Tala
Kabhi Palkon Pe Ansu Hai
Kabhi Tumne Kisi Ko Phansa
Kahan Tak Yeh Man Ko Andhe
Kal Ki Na Karo Baat
Kali Palak Teri Gori
Kamaal Hai Kamaal Hai
Kaun Si Hai Woh Cheez
Khafa Hoon Khafa Hoon
Khana Milega Pina Milega
Khush Raho Sathio
Kitane Atal The Tere Iraade(M
Koi Ladki Mujhe Kal Raat
Koi Na Jab Tera Sathi Ho
Kuchh Tum Karo Kuchh Hum K
Kya Rakha Hai Gyan Mein
Ladki Nahin Tu Lakdi Ka Kham
Luk Chhip Luk Chhip Jao Na
Maa Ae Maa
Maa Ka Pyar
Main Akela Apni Dhun Men
Main Hansoon Kis Pe
Main Tasveer Utarta Hoon
Main Wahan Hoon
Maine Kuchh Khoya Hai
Maine Pyar Kiya To Thik Kiya
Maine Tumse Kuchh Nahin M
Mana Safar Hai Mushkil
Manmani Se Hargiz Na Daro
Maro Bharkar Pichkari
Maujon Ki Doli Chali Re
Mausam Mastana Hai
Mehbooba Meri Mehbooba
Mehmanon Ko Salaam Hai Me
Mera Jeevan Kuchh Kaam Na
Mere Bhole Balam
Mere Liye Tu Bani
Mere Pyale Mein Sharab Daal
Meri Bahena O Meri Bahena
Meri Jaan Meri Jaan Kehna M
Meri Zindagi Ne Mujhe
Mile Kahin Do Ajnabee
Munna Bada Pyara Ammi Ka
Muqaddar Ka Sikandar
Murgiwalo Apni Murgiyan
Murti Ganesh Ki
O Manchali Kahan Chali

Tu Kya Jaane Tujh Mein Kya H
Tu Na Mile To Ham Jogi Ban
Tujh Sa Haseen
Tum Chahe Humko Pasand Na
Tum Ho Haseen
Tum Khoobsurat Ho
Tune Hamen Kya Diya Ri Zind
Turu Turu Turu
Vada Karo Jaanam
Woh Mere Peechhe Padi Huyi
Yaadon Ki Baaraat
Yaadon Mein Woh
Yaar Mila
Yaaro Utho Chalo

De Daru
Dekha Main Ne Dekha
Dekho O Diwano
Dheere Se Jaana Khatiyan
Dil Mein Holi Jal Rahi Hai
Dil Men Sama Gaye Sajan
Dilbar Jani Chali Hawa Mastan
Dilsey Miley Dil
Disco 82
Do Baaten Pyar Bhari Kar Loo
Do Bechare Bin Sahare
Do Diwane Pyar Ke
Duniya Meri Jeb Mein
Duniya Mujhse Kahti Hai Ki
Ek Chatur Naar Karke Sringar
Ek Din Sapne Mein Dekha Sap
Ek Haseena Thi
Ek Pardesi Raat Ko
Ek Ritu Aaye Ek Ritu Jaye
Ganga Ghat Ka Pani Piya Hai
Haal Tujhe Apni Duniya Ka
Ham Lafange Hain
Hans Tu Hardam Khushian
Hat Ja Bajoo Nahin To Uda
Hay Hay Yeh Nigahen
Ho Gaye Diwane
Ho Jaye Phir Us Din Ka Jo Wad
Hum Aur Tum The Saathi
Hum Jab Honge Saath Saal Ke
Hum Teenon Ki Woh Yaari
Hum To Aap Ke Deewane Hai
Humka Maafi Dai Do
Humko To Yara Hai Teri Yari
Humse Badhkar Kaun
I Love You (Gujarati Mein)
Ik Rasta Hai Zindagi
Jaa Jaa Jaa Muje Na Ab
Jab Jab Jo Jo Hona Hai
Jabse Sarkar Ne Nasbandi Tod
Jadugar Tere Naina
Jagmag Jagmag Si Mehfil
Jaise Ko Taisa Mila
Janeman Tum Kamal Karte Ho
Jawani O Diwani Tu Zindabad
Jeene Ka Din Mar Jane Ka
Jeene Ko To Jeete Hain Sabhi
Jeevan Mein Tu Darna Nahin
Jeevan Se Na Haar
Jo Raah Chuni Tune

O Mere Mehboob
O Meri Chhammak Chhallo
O Meri Jaan Bol Meri Jaan
O Nigahe Mastana
O Re Babuaa
Oonche Neeche Raste
Oopar Wale Tera Jawab Nahin
Panthi Hoon Main Us Path Ka
Pappu Ki Mummy
Peene Wale Ko Peene Ka
Phir Wohi Raat Hai Khwab Ki
Prem Kahani Mein
Pyar Bantte Chalo
Pyar Jab Na Diya Zindagi Ne
Pyar Ka Badla
Pyar Ka Dard Hai
Pyar Ka Vada Fiffty Fiffty
Pyar Kabhi Kam Na Karna San
Pyar Kar Liya To Kya
Pyar Kiye Ja
Raampur Ka Baasi Hoon
Ram Kare Babua
Rasta Dekhe Tera Byakul Man
Roop Yeh Tera Jisne Banaya
Sa Re Ga Ma
Saamne Aa Dekhe
Saat Saheliyan
Saath Mein Pyara Saathi Hai
Sarakti Jaye Hai
Sasu Tirath Sasura Tirath
Satrah Baras Ki Chhokariyan
Shor Mach Gaya Shor
Somwar Ko Hum Mile
Soti Hai Yeh Raat Sone Do
Sun Ginnya
Sun Sun Sun
Sunja Aa Thandi Hawa
Superman
Surma Mera Nirala
Taki Oh Taki
Teen Char Panch Chhay
Tera Jalwa Tauba Hai
Tera Peechha Na Chhodunga
Tere Bina Jeena Kya
Tere Jaisa Bhai Sabko Mile
Tere Liye Chandi Ka Bangla
Thokar Mein Hai Meri Sara
Tick Tick Tick Chalti Jaye Ghad
Tota Maina Ki Kahani

Yaro Nilam Karo Susti
Yeh Bandhan Kachchey Dhago
Yeh Duniya Hai Usiki
Yeh Kahdo Yamraj Se
Yeh Thandi Hawayen
Yeh Wada Karo
You Are My Darling
Yun Na Rootho
Zamana To Hai Naukar Biwi K
Zamane Mein Koi Hamara Na
Zindagi Hai Kya Bolo
Zindagi Ke Safar Mein
Zindagi Kya Hai Ik Lateefa Hai
